July Maintenance Tips

1. Keep the sprinklers off painted surfaces and stucco. Water is one of the main causes of premature paint failures.
2. Touch-up exterior wood trim when cracks first appear on sills and horizontal surfaces. This stops water from getting behind the paint film and dramaticaly increases the life of the paint job.
3. Repaint the south and west side fascia every 3 years or when you see signs of small cracks/discoloring. This can save a lot of money in the long run by not having to do much preparation when the paint is cracking and peeling due to intense sun exposure.
