Meet Chism Brothers New Color Consultant, Rebecca K. Jessen, ASID
Becky has been one of the Principal Residential Designers for Nettle Creek Interiors for more than 15 years here in San Diego. During that time she has developed a reputation as an expert in her ability to select and coordinate color schemes that reflect the personal needs of her clients and enhance the design features of their homes at the same time.
As the official Color Consultant for Chism Brothers, Becky will help you select just the right paint colors for your home, inside and out. If she has a “secret” to selecting paint colors it lies in her classic approach to color coordination: “Colors should provide a soothing, comfortable background but shouldn’t be boring. They should complement your furnishings. Colors must be right and when they are right, people don’t notice it.”
In a typical Color Consultation Becky spends time getting to know clients by asking questions about their lifestyle, identifying high traffic rooms and gaining insights into their favorite colors and color schemes. She believes strongly that colors should complement your furnishings and that paint should be a partner in the overall scheme throughout your home.

Here is an example of what our Color Consultant helped create for a San Diego Homeowner.
In this case our Color Consultant was called to help a homeowner make a critical decision on an exterior trim color. The homeowner had painted swatches of three exterior colors she had selected prior to Rebecca's visit and felt the combination was not quite right but couldn't isolate the problem color.
Rebecca reviewed the exterior design of the home and developed an understanding of what the client’s personal preferences were in colors for the home.
After reviewing the three swatches painted in advance Rebecca zeroed in on the trim color being the culprit.
Rebecca showed two possible candidates for the trim color and one was quickly selected.
The finished color scheme enhances the architectural design of the home, including the surrounding landscape and more importantly, the finished colors capture the needs and tastes of the proud homeowner.
