Ceiling & Beam Repainting in Del Mar

Last Updated: April 12, 2013

White painted wood beams meeting at an inside corner, showing dark lines along the joins.

We usually do maintenance for one of our clients in Del Mar every six months or so. His house is new (about 2 and ½ years) and has done some settling which as caused the beams to separate from the walls and their own joints a little bit. This past month he asked us to do some repair work on the ceiling beams. The close up before pictures show how the entire ceiling looked, each joint around the beams was noticeably cracked.

To fix the problem, we caulked the ceiling beams where they were cracked and we caulked the beam joints to the walls and ceiling. After caulking, we touched up the beams with Dunn Edwards Evershield Eggshell in Weaverbird. Then we touched up the walls and ceiling with the same color in a flat Sherwin Williams Showcase. The project took a full day to complete.
