A customer in Encinitas asked us to refinish her entry door. The door was dilapidated, faded and in need of full restoration.
We began by fully stripping the door to the raw wood, then we sanded and primed the surface and finished with 3 coats of Sikkens door and window stain.
The project took about 3 days and cost under $1,700, which is quite a bit less than purchasing a new door system. Also, if we apply a fresh coat of clear finish on this door it will also significantly extend the lifespan of this restoration.
