Full Exterior Repairs and Repainting in Point Loma

Project Process

One of our two-man crews enjoyed working on this previous customer's beautiful home in Point Loma. This home is very close to the water, and receives a beating from the elements. It also is a wood shake shingle home, which makes it susceptible to termite attacks. This time, the customer wanted us to:

• Do a termite discovery and dig out anywhere we found termite damage
• Restore the damaged exterior woodwork
• And do a full exterior repaint

We worked with the customer's termite company and set up scaffolding to search every sqare inch for termite damage. Then we dug out all dry rot and termite damage on the rafters, frames, windows and anywhere else. We saturated the damaged areas with mildew sealer primer mixed with mildewcide additive to shore up any softened wood. Next we patched all areas with a patching compound. Once all patching was complete, we sanded and primed with the same mildew primer mixture. After all surface preparation, we painted the entire exterior. The whole project took just under a week.
