How To Choose The Color You Like Best

Many of us have taken a personality test at least once in our lives. It is always fun reviewing the test scores and typically smiling in agreement and thinking to yourself, "Wow...that really describes me!"

Well, did you know that you can take a personality color quiz too? Its been said that close to 40% of Americans don't paint the interior of their home strictly because they are scared they will choose the wrong color. I don't know how accurate those percentages are, but from my personal experience as an estimator, I can attest to many people I meet second guessing color for their home's interior and exterior. When I help people choose the right color, I typically just look at what he or she is wearing and how they decorate their kitchen and living areas. I also look at photos on the walls to see if I can see a consistent trend. I will also toss out a few color ideas and see how a homeowner responds by their facial expressions. If their eyebrows go up and they show a little interest, I can typically begin to hone in on what their favorite colors might be! I love this sort of guessing game of colors.
