Mission Hills Lead Removal & Repainting Project

One of our painting crews just finished a complete home repainting in Mission Hills. We had painted for the homeowner before on another of their properties, but it was our first time painting this house.

In order to properly paint the home, we scaffolded the job site. And even though the home had been painted in recent years, we did lead testing prior to painting. We found minor races of lead, so we used the lead-safe practice (RRP) to remove and dispose of it. (The lead paint is put into a metal bin which is picked up by a local environmental service agency.)

In addition to lead removal, there were a fair number of wood rot replacement and repairs that the house needed. There were also many cracks in the stucco that needed repairments.

After the house was prepped and ready to paint, the team used Benjamen Moore "ben" on the wood trim and Moorcraft by Benjamin Moore on the stucco. We only minorly changed the color of the stucco, but we changed the trim color to a custom green the homeowner picked out.
