Owner of Chism Brothers Turns 60

Mike Chism, President of Chism Brothers Painting, just celebrated his 60th birthday party over the weekend! His employees also gave him a cane when he came in for work Monday morning just to make sure he knew he was really getting "old"! He had a wonderful party thrown for him at his daughter's home in Fletcher Hills followed by a "surprise" visit from former employee and son, David Chism. David flew out with his 4 year old son from Maryland to spend the weekend with Dad.

Mike Chism has been running Chism Brothers Painting for 27 years in San Diego and painted for most of his high school, college and young adult life with his father and a La Jolla painter, Otto Welp. Painting is definitely in his blood! At his party on Saturday, a number of people got up to talk about the qualities they see in Mike. One of the #1 comments that kept coming out from different friends was the integrity of Michael Chism. He is a man who is strong in his faith and always will do the right thing: no matter the cost. He runs his business this way too. He will never allow a customer to be left feeling frustrated with their painting experience. Every painting job that is done by Chism Brothers has to pass Mike Chism's inspection, and that level of quality is exceptionally high. He cares about people and it shows! He also treats his employees with kindness and respect. You won't find an employee quitting to go work for a competitor as they have grown to enjoy working for Chism Brothers because of the way they are treated as individuals.
