This is a great question. Our painters typically will remove and reinstall door hardware, electrical outlet covers and simple light fixtures. As we are not electricians, we cannot always guarantee or troubleshoot if a light fixture does not work after it is reinstalled. Sometimes we've removed a fixture that is on its last legs and when we go to reinstall it, it does not work. We will do our very best to remove/reinstall things on your home as we found them. We just cannot be held responsible for things like computer equipment, electrical systems and window treatments. In most cases, we can move most pieces of furniture. If the items are too heavy, the estimator or crew leader will let you know before we start the project (i.e. piano, king size bed set). If an item needs to be disassembled and reassembled by another company, we will let you know.
Yes. Restoration generally involves complete paint removal and thorough surface repair or replacement. Repainting is the cost effective process of adequately preparing and finishing existing surfaces but which will not necessarily result in a “like new” finished product.
