Three Gen­er­a­tions of Painters serv­ing the Kens­ing­ton Com­mu­ni­ty of San Diego

As young boys, the broth­ers grew up not far from Kens­ing­ton in the com­mu­ni­ty of Mis­sion Hills! Michael and Patrick Chism learned the skills of paint­ing under the appren­tice­ship of their father Mil­ton Chism, him­self a small San Diego house painter since the 1930s. While they fin­ished their mil­i­tary ser­vice and start­ed col­lege, the broth­ers con­tin­ued to hone their craft work­ing for La Jol­la con­trac­tor, Otto Welp. Upon the sud­den death of Mr. Welp, they branched out on their own and in 1982 found­ed Chism Broth­ers Painting.

Since its incep­tion, Chism Broth­ers Paint­ing has strived to become the lead­ing home paint­ing com­pa­ny serv­ing the res­i­dences, builders and small busi­ness­es in and around the Kens­ing­ton com­mu­ni­ty by ensur­ing all with excep­tion­al qual­i­ty and depend­able ser­vice.
