Leadership
David Chism
President and CEO
David, Mike's son, has grown up working in all aspects of Chism Bros Painting. He worked along side his father and uncle as well as a number of their foreman and crew leaders when he was in high school and his early college years. David has also done his fair share of grunt labor, lots of sanding, washing company vehicles, organizing the paint shop, passing out door hangers - you name it, he's probably done it.
David was our chief estimator for close to a decade while also spending the last couple of decades running our marketing department. As Mike Chism transitions out of the business, David has taken over as President and CEO. He currently lives in Frederick, MD with his wife and 7 children. He makes regular trips out to San Diego and works closely with our GM, Frank Long.
Frank Long
General Manager
Frank joined Chism Brothers in 2018, bringing with him over 28 years of management experience. What began as a search for a small painting job quickly turned into a meaningful leadership opportunity. As General Manager, he oversees day-to-day operations and works closely with David Chism to carry forward the company’s legacy of character and craftsmanship.
Frank has a passion for working with people, solving problems, and helping the team grow. He considers it a privilege to serve San Diego homeowners and believes the best part of his job is working alongside the incredibly talented painters who make up the Chism Brothers team. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor adventures, creative projects, and time with his family.
Jack Behrend
Business Development
Jack is a hands-on marketing and business development professional with a strong background in digital strategy, client relations, and brand growth. Jack’s experience spans various industries—from publishing to construction—where he’s consistently driven measurable growth. As the Business Development lead at Chism Brothers Painting, he manages leads, social media campaigns, and marketing initiatives that showcase our company’s craftsmanship and character.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys perfecting his barbecue technique, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, and hiking San Diego’s trails with his two Rottweilers.

Grant Ramsey
Lead Estimator
Grant has been with us for a few years now. David Chism was good friends with Grant's older brother. This is how we originally found out about Grant. We lured him into working with CBP knowing he had a strong work ethic and enjoyed the painting industry too. After just a year working in the field as a project manager, we had an opening as a lead estimator. We offered this position to Grant knowing that he also had great people skills. We taught him the art of estimating, and he doing extremely well pricing out projects for customers. We are very happy to have him as part of the team.

Victor Jimenez
20+ Years Experience
I started painting 20 years ago when a friend told me about an opening at Chism Brothers. I didn’t know anything about painting at the time, but I needed a job and took a step of faith. Two decades later, I’ve not only developed the skills to be a great painter—I’ve also found a job I love. I enjoy bringing life back into homes through color and detail, and there’s nothing better than seeing a client’s reaction when a project is complete.
In my free time, I love taking my kids to the park, playing soccer or baseball, and biking together as a family. We’re also big fans of the zoo and Legoland, and we regularly travel to Mexico for mission trips.
