Interior Paint Repair and Replacement in Mission Hills
Choosing paint is so much than just picking a color. Style and appearance certainly play major roles, but your paint also needs to be carefully chosen according to the job it is asked to perform in your home. As we have discussed before (you can see that post here ), some paint is quick to smudge and needs to be used in lower-traffic areas, while others are incredibly durable but also have trouble hiding imperfections in a wall.
The balance needs to be struck between durability, function, and style. A great example of this can be found in a recent interior painting project that we completed in Mission Hills. Take a look!
Faulty Interior Paint - It Certainly Did Not Pass the “Kid Test”!
Unfortunately, this homeowner’s troubles began when the “professional painter” who originally worked in their home used a water-based product on the existing oil-based paint. It was doomed from the beginning, but its fate was especially sealed because it was located in a high-traffic area for this busy family of six.
We were asked to fix the issue, as well as paint several other rooms in the home. It was our pleasure to help.
Starting Over with Fresh, Quality Interior Paint
Our process included the following steps:
- We sanded the surface thoroughly in order to wipe the slate clean

- Our carpenter installed new wainscot

- We applied a bonding primer
- After careful surface preparation, we used Benjamin Moore’s Stonington Grey as a durable, attractive finish
Included below are some fun before and after photos of a couple of other rooms we painted for this client as well.
