Deck Re-Staining for Existing Client in La Jolla CA, Fall 2012

Last month we were happy to work with one of our existing customers who live in a home overlooking La Jolla Shores. Dave, one of our crew leaders, has helped re-seal and re-stain this customer's deck about every 2 years. Since La Jolla receives direct sunlight and has harsh coastal air, the painted and stained surfaces require regular maintenance.

For this specific project this fall, we cleaned the deck with a very careful washing, using a special cleaner from Fiber Saver Coatings. Then we used a mixture of clear (TWP 1500) and two different colors (TWP 300 series) for the finish. In addition to painting the deck, we also refinished the railings. Two of us worked on the project, and it took us 3 days to complete the job.

Specifically with this project, we used a special mix of color and clear products to get the natural, semi-transparent final appearance that our customer wanted.
