Entry Door & Trellis Refinishing in La Jolla

Last Updated: May 7, 2014

For this project, a homeowner in La Jolla hired us to refinish the entry door and the trellis since both showed signs of wear and fading.

Door & Trellis Refinishing Process

Our process included:

  1. Stripping and Refinishing the front door and threshold. We have to use chemical strippers to remove the old finish. Once the product has been removed, we are able to fully restain and finish the door.
  2. Prepping and Finishing the back trellis. As you can see from the first picture, the TOP of the trellis / patio cover really takes a beating from the sun and ocean climate. All those areas get fully primed before applying several finish coats.

We also patched a crack in the door and restored the door threshold. The project took about three days total.
