Full Exterior Painting for Existing Customer in La Jolla

Last Updated: September 30, 2014

This recent project was for a long-time customer in La Jolla. The job was pretty extensive and took us close to 350 man hours. The customer was very happy with the results. We painted everything outside including: doors, thresholds, outbuilding, flowerpots, etc. It took a bit of time for several reasons. The home's exterior surfaces are all painted wood. Wood surfaces near the ocean take a real beating from the sun and salt conditions. This home, even though it took a fair amount of time to repaint, was actually in decent shape. This was just a standard and regular repaint project.

Exterior Painting Project Process

Our process included:

  1. Masking windows and doors.
  2. Prepping siding, eaves and fascia.
  3. Priming siding, eaves and fascia.
  4. Finishing siding, eaves, fascia, doors, windows, frames and flowerpots.
  5. Striping and finishing thresholds, doors, patio beams and posts.
  6. Finishing all trim.
  7. Prepping and finishing all shutters (23).
  8. Prepping and finishing decks (top and underneath).
  9. Prepping, priming and finishing railings.
