Interior Painting and Plaster Ceiling Repair in Serra Mesa

Last Updated: January 30, 2016

Our crew recently completed an interior painting and plaster ceiling repair job in Serra Massa. In only two days the ceiling was completely transformed, leaving a stunning final product. Take a look at the details of this project below and the photos above!

Phase One: Plaster Ceiling Repair

The first part of this job involved repairing a plaster ceiling with cracks. Cracks in plaster – even if they are only the width of a credit card – need to be repaired as soon as possible, as they can cause further damage if left unattended. We cleaned out the cracks to eliminate any debris, taped them, and made the necessary repairs. After the cracks were repaired we applied the same skip trowel over the repaired areas, blending them flawlessly with rest of the ceiling.

Phase Two: Restoring and Painting

Our client had a second ceiling which needed re-painting and removal of some protruding nails. Using a Dremel tool to cut off the nails, we removed them and touched up each damaged area with spackling. The ceiling was then ready to paint.

The customer opted for a pure white paint between the ceiling beams, giving the room a unique charm. You can see the progress photos in the slideshow above!

Caring for the Customer

Chism Brothers Painting is dedicated to knowing and caring for the particular needs of each client. In this case, our customer was sensitive to paint fumes due to allergies. For this reason we decided to use SPARTAZERO® paint, a premium Zero VOC interior paint. This low-odor paint was ideal for our client.
