Their own mission statement sums it up beautifully:
“ Las Patronas is committed to providing financial assistance to nonprofit organizations in San Diego County that provide valuable community services in the areas of health, education, social services, and cultural arts, and to continuing our tradition of service to enhance the quality of life in our community.”
Las Patron is a philanthropic organization that has been giving selflessly since 1946, with over $25M donated to more than a thousand San Diego charities. Funds given to Las Patronas are responsibly dispersed to an incredible range of neighbors in need, from children to adults, homeless to seniors, plus support for ongoing research and solutions.
Every year Las Patronas holds their renowned Jewel Ball: a fun night dedicated to raising funds. It’s their premier event, filled with generous people, amazing decorations, and a clever, specific theme. As an example, last year’s was called Diamonds Are Forever, with a blacktie, 007 aesthetic.
It has been our pleasure to paint the large backdrop panels for these events. Our team looks forward to it every year, almost becoming an event all its own.
The specific theme hasn’t been announced yet, but we know that Las Patronas will throw a 76th Annual Jewel Ball to remember!
