Chism Brothers Painting: Receiving the 2022 Spirit of Giving Award from Las Patronas

If you fol­low our con­tent, you know that we’re pas­sion­ate about keep­ing char­ac­ter and crafts­man­ship alive, and that we’re also pas­sion­ate about serv­ing our cus­tomers. These are foun­da­tion­al parts of who we are. 

As a nat­ur­al over­flow of these pri­or­i­ties, we also care deeply about our local com­mu­ni­ty. We’ve been painters in San Diego for over 40  years, and have savored dif­fer­ent oppor­tu­ni­ties we’ve been giv­en to donate our time and skills to var­i­ous causes.

Far and away, one of our favorites is sup­port­ing Las Patronas in La Jol­la. Specif­i­cal­ly, we send painters every year to paint the gor­geous back­drops they use for their flag­ship fundrais­ing event: the annu­al Jew­el Ball. Since 1946 , Las Patronas has donat­ed over $ 25 M to more than a thou­sand San Diego char­i­ties. That’s remark­able, isn’t it?

Pat Chism, our co-founder, always orga­nized this fun ​ “ Paint Out Day” event, and since his pass­ing we’ve been proud to car­ry the torch. 

With all of this in mind, we were so sur­prised and thrilled to hear that we have been named the recip­i­ent of Las Patronas’ 2022 Spir­it of Giv­ing Award. Here’s what they had to say:
