Interior Painting Before the Holidays: What’s On Your Wish List?

Last Updated: October 21, 2019

As a San Diego painter, we’ve been nudging and reminding our neighbors that this is the time to plan your interior painting update, especially if you hope to have it finished before the holidays arrive. The winter rush is on its way, but hasn’t quite hit yet, making October and November an ideal time to plan ahead and book your projects.

So, which painting projects are most popular right now? Well, with the upcoming holidays in mind, a lot of updates are based around improvements before guests arrive. Let’s take a closer look at a few in particular.

Popular Fall and Winter Interior Interior Painting Projects in San Diego

Two photos of a kitchen, including white cabinets, a large island with a cooktop, and hardwood floors.

First, we have those classic high-traffic spaces that tend to accumulate the most bumps and bruises throughout the year:

  • Front doors
  • Entryways
  • Mudrooms
  • Closet doors

Next, we have guest spaces, like bathrooms and bedrooms. Nothing provides a welcome like fresh paint and clean, bright surfaces!

We also recommend painting rooms that you most congregate in, including:

  • Living room
  • Dining room
  • Kitchen (including cabinet finishing !)
  • Rec room
  • Mantels and brick (a nice touch)
  • Interior doors
  • Trim and wainscoting

The difference can be tremendous!
