Painting and Refinishing Exterior Woodwork in San Diego

Last Updated: September 30, 2019

Exterior paint and stain is definitely about curb appeal and style, but it offers more than that, too. Keeping your surfaces beautiful also means that they’re protected, locking out moisture, rot, pests, UV damage, and more.

So, as we step into the fall season and a bit closer to winter, and our seasonal rains, now is an ideal time to make sure your surfaces are fully protected.

And beautiful.

Painting a Wood Trellis - Our Painters in Action!

White pergola extending from a light-colored house, with surrounding greenery.

For this particular client, we painted their home’s trellis. These wood elements are high-risk, being exposed to all of the elements (including relentless sunshine). While a stain would also have worked, paint does offer an unparalleled level of solid protection. Think of it as being similar to SPF counts on sunblock - for extreme sun exposure, a more solid layer is essential.

Plus, we’re loving the crisp, white look against the surrounding stucco. Classic San Diego!

Wood Furniture Refinishing

Speaking of sun exposure...

Our team also refinished this beautiful outdoor furniture. In this case stain was absolutely the right choice, letting the warm glow of the natural wood shine through. The surfaces are still thoroughly protected from UV damage and moisture as well. Time to just be used and enjoyed around this gorgeous patio space.
