Pressure Washing and Painting a Stucco Deck Area in Poway, CA

Last Updated: December 14, 2016

We were recently invited to paint the exterior of a local Poway home. While we enjoyed the project in its entirety, our team did a particularly good job capturing the transformation around the stucco deck area.

As an added bonus, the music is incredibly chipper and sure to put you in a good mood.

The Power of Pressure Washing and Quality Exterior Paint

Here’s a closer look at the steps we took:

  • We applied a biodegradable cleaning solution (this protects your home, landscaping, and the environment, all while providing a superior clean).
  • High-pressure cleaning of the stained, discolored (and dirty!) stucco. In the video above, you can see that even just these two steps created a remarkable difference. Never underestimate the power of pressure washing!
  • We then removed the loose, failing paint from the railing.
  • Next, we applied a primer to seal the rust; we wanted to create a real solution here, not just topical coverage.
  • The real magic began as we applied paint to the stucco (a combination of spraying and rolling).
  • After careful containment and masking, we painted the railing (isn’t it a beautiful color?).

The finished product reveals a simply gorgeous, and now fully-protected deck area. And, the view certainly doesn’t hurt either!
